The Through My Eyes series was shortlisted for the Educational Publishing Awards 2015 Secondary Student Resource (Junior) - Commended.

'The Through My Eyes series is a publishing phenomenon. It is rare for a series to resonate with such a huge number of consumers and to grow in the demand for more publications. Targeting young readers with empathy and global interests, the series explores personal issues, survival themes and other universal themes of family and relationships and stories of personal growth.

The interest in the series, and the various writers called in to explore and write about world events is unique, and another reason for the unprecedented interest from young readers world wide.

Each year schools expand their repertoire of the Through My Eyes series and another year of students gain a wealth of understanding of the finite nature of life and the enormous courage of individuals who deal with these events. We, as teachers and students are appreciative.'

The Through My Eyes: Natural Disaster Zones series has been shortlisted in the Best Educational Picture or Chapter Book Category at the 2019 Educational Publishing Awards – Winner.

'The Through My Eyes - Natural Disaster Zones series is a powerful and impressive resource for all middle years' teachers. It is a series that enables teachers to facilitate connections between students' own experiences and those of characters and world events so clearly and vividly represented. Quality literature is a powerful and engaging way for students to learn about themselves and the world they live in. Through My Eyes Disaster Zone series does this in empowering and thoughtful ways. It helps students to analyse and understand characters and contexts as well as support the building of understandings and relationships. This supports and enables students to become more thoughtful members of the global community. Well written, thoughtful literature supports our students to think about their world in different ways, to understand themselves and to understand others (ACARA, 2017). Through My Eyes - Natural Disaster Zones series is the type of literature our students need but more importantly, deserve.'
